DOOM FOR AGONA SWEDRU ARTIST

It a pity that at this modern times when most artist are spending money and resources just to make their music heard others will also spend money to frustrate event organisers. I wont sound like am judging or being partial but i fink i want to set the records straight.

To  Hot point entertainment why will you organise a show in swedru and do away with virtually most of the good artist in swedru?? Are they not good or you didnt want to respect them??

To Gojit,  sticker and friends  if indeed you chose to play a street carnival to frustrate hot point entertaiis questions ment as a means of registering your displeasure for not putting them on their show, was it the best move you made??
so imagine hot point entertainment loses and decides not to invest in events again?? will that be an achievement for Gojit, sticker and friends??  or will gojit and friends continuallly play shows so they will perform selves???

this is a great sign of doom for artist in agona swedru if these questions am asking are not answered on time. Instead of forming a formidable force to project your music you will rather form a a great formidable force to devide and fight and backbite yourselves. No wonder whenever it is evil  about AG artist sticker says he is not from swedru

i heard Kwame Kay loud on air saying to play swedru music he will rather download songs on net to play, DJ mozey said if swedru artist dont pay he wont play and DJ foka also said he was disappointed in AG artist .
This clearly indicate that even the artist have problems with the top DJs in Agona Swedru yet the artist believe the best way to make their songs herd is to send to the top stations to be played forgetting through the djs you can reach the top stations you want your song to be heard easily.

I want to state emphatically haven being in the media terain for such a long period that Artist can never battle event organisers. this because event organisers invest and offers the platform for musicians song to be heard and thats the reason some musicians will pay to perform on Gojit and friends stage.

Again great artists today have performed on thousands of platforms and so doing met the gurus, eg. is kofi kinata, pappy kojo etc. so no artist should expect to breakthrough always standing on one stage.

furthermore never undermine any small dj thinking they are small. remember the big DJs always get their information from those you call small Djs. Again artist who also select some djs to work with and ignore others  sould be careful.
swedru artist should unite and stop the backbiting and fraustration they are causing to themselves.

COURT BOYCOTS TV LINCENSE COLLECTION INJUNCTION

All road is set for the collection of TV license to begin in Ghana after An Accra Fast Track High Court this afternoon dismissed an order for  interlocutory injunction brought by Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobby seeking to restrain the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) from collecting TV licence fees.

The court, presided over by Justice RR Batu, ruled that the national broadcaster can commence collection of the license. However, disbursement of the fund should be on hold until the substantive case is heard.

Dr. Wereko-Brobby, a former Chief Executive of the Volta River Authority (VRA), filed a writ of summons against GBC, the National Media Commission (NMC), the Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA) and the Attorney General in an attempt to stop GBC from sharing TV license fees with any other entity.

According to Dr. Wereko Brobby, the Fees and Charges (Amendment) Instrument, 2014; LI 2216 only increased the TV Licence Fees but did not authorize GBC to share the fees collected.
GBC was to start the collection from August 1st but had to suspend the collection of the fees until the case was heard, but can now proceed per this judgment.
