SWEDRU OBSERVE NATIONAL SANITATION DAY




every first Saturday of the month has been set aside by government to be observed as world   sanitation day. As part of efforts to keep the country from further deterioration by filth. This is to be observed by every community across the country to come out and participate actively in cleaning up their own environment in order to keep the nation clean and also avoid any communable diseae . as part of these activities member of parliament for agona east lawyer obeng inkum and the municipal Chief executive Samuel sarpong joined in the cleaning. Mce tells us of the motive of the sanitation project and how it will help to clear the Nation from filth. he advised every Ghanian to participate in the occassion
 security services, students and drivers all joined in the cleaning, as residents were cleaning and destilling the gutters drivers were also conveying the rubbish. Atv news spoke with some of the drivers and they also shared their views with regards to helping swedru get rid of rubbish through the national sanitation project.Mr. Ghamfi popularly known in swedru as lucky girl sponsord the programme by donating rakes, wheel barrows cutlases etc to enhance the programme, he advised the well to do in society to also participate in national programmes with their money.

After the hard day works, Mp for the area Hon. Obeng Nkum congratulated everyone for the effort and called all and sundry to make the next sanitation day greater than it is now.
