The Public
relations officer of the national
service scheme Ambrose Entwiwa Jnr has
hinted that national service allowance for the month of July and august will be
paid jointly together with t and t to enable
personnel's
start something after their service. this means allowances to be taken
home by personnel's will be 700 Ghana cedis plus the destination fare of the
person . He explained that the fare won't
be a flat rate but will depend on where the person traveled from to do his
service.
He said this when the national
service scheme held a day of gratitude ceremony in Accra Burma hall to launch the national service week to enable other regions to hold their service
week. it also ushered the 2014/2015
service badge to an end. Present were the deputy minister of education in charge of tertiary
education Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa ,
former executive director of Nss Mr. Vincent s. Kuagbenu and national service personnels from in and
around Accra.
He also talked about voluntary
service with the scheme which has been suspended until further notice. he
explained that voluntary service was introduced to help increase the total
number of personal teachers in the three northern regions to help meet up with
the total number of teachers needed in the region to teach math and science,
year but now service persons churned out every has grown massively from 25000
to 75000 which is more than enough to engage the services of extra hands
Finally he advised all graduates who
have already undertaken their service not to register again.
